CLASS
POLICY:
It
is advisable to sign up for classes at least
1 week before the
class date.
We
reserve the right to cancel any class due to insufficient amount
of sign-ups. If we cancel a class, you will receive a refund
or voucher for another class.
If
you need to cancel: As a courtesy to our teachers and
students, we have a 7 working days cancellation policy
(or 30 Days
for Special Events). Refunds/Credits
cannot be issued for cancellations less than 7 working days
(or 30
Days for Special Events).
Please call at least 7 days
prior to your class start date to transfer fees to another date,
or to request a refund.

Terrific Teens Club
Janice
Langan, certified Palmer/Pletsch instructor, will be offering her
popular, success-driven sewing classes to beginning Teen Sew-ers
this summer.
Janice will take creative Teens along for a wonderful sewing
journey using Palmer/Pletsch tried-and-true sewing techniques.
From a fast and simple tote, to drawstring pants to Prom
Gown!!!! Janice will be
there every step of the way to encourage young sew-ers to go as far
as they want! This
on-going series will give Teenagers a lifetime of skills!!

Summer Sewing Classes for Kids
Kids
and Teens love to sew!! Small classes are designed to give the most individual
attention.

Suitable
for ages 8 thru 18
This is a class that will teach the fun of sewing.
I do not require perfection, I want students to see this as a
new form of art. I am very calm
and patient. The projects are
forgiving, yet functional, and will give the student a sense
of pride and accomplishment. This
is not your
grandmother’s sewing class.
Students will be able to make design choices, and see
construction concepts, that I hope will keep them
interested in sewing long after the classes are over.
On the first day, they will become familiar with the sewing
machine, threading, bobbin, needle, speed control and different
stitches, and they will make a small pillow.
Also on the first day, they will learn safe ironing and seam
ripping. If time permits, they will make a felt needle case where
they will sew on a button by hand.
On the second day they will make an apron, learn about seam
allowances pinning on paper patterns, fabric grain and bias tape.
On the third day, they will make a tote bag that can hold all
of their sewing supplies or overnight supplies!
On the fourth and fifth days, they will make a pair of pj
shorts where they will learn about fitting, casings, elastic, seam
finishing and hemming.
